Zwiebelmarkt, the onion market, is a great event held in Weimar, Thuringia, Germany, since 1635. In the three days of the Zwiebelmarkt, the city is filled with the flavor of onions and many agricultural products are exhibited and sold in hundreds of stalls in the main squares of the city. More than 350 000 tourists flock to Weimar every year to attend the Onion Festival: a great number of people considering that the city has just over 65 000 inhabitants.
