Useful hints and tips for travelers in Germany
In the edition of March 2010, 28,000 fans have stormed the more than 90 museums, galleries, studios and art schools joining the Lange Nacht der Museen, the Long Night of Museums of Stuttgart, the capital of Baden-Wurttemberg.
An interesting event, not only for culture but also for fun: dozens of place along the routes of museums remain open during the long night, the streets are crowded and so are public transports. The network of public transport is enhanced for the occasion. There are ten ‘recommended’ routes, divided by area and two are also suitable for children.
At the beginning of April, spring is on the doorstep in Stuttgart and so also in the evening it is nice to walk in this very particular atmosphere, in a very emotional journey between art and culture, delving into the past and contemporary works that enrich the art spaces in the city.
The Long Night of Museums, Lange Nacht der Museen, is also an opportunity to visit some places that are generally not open to the public, to admire works otherwise inaccessible. The event is scheduled for April 4th: hotels in Stuttgart for the occasion welcome visitors with special offers. The cost of the ticket for access to museums and the use of public transport is 15 €.
