It all starts on Saturday morning (September 24th, 2011) when the mayor of the city “taps” a pint of beer. At that point the drink flows freely between the large stands of the local breweries, Hofbräu, Dinkel, Acker, Schwaben Braü, Fürstenberg Bräu. The Cannstatter Volksfest, Stuttgart’s Beer Festival, will close after two weeks in a blaze of fireworks.

Famous throughout Europe, the spas of Stuttgart have a very ancient history. Their existence and the curative effects of the water were known as early as 2000 years ago when the area was dominated by the Romans. The decision-makers from dental industry will meet in Cologne, from March 22 to 26, at the IDS trade show, housed in the great exhibition center of the city.

IDS is the world’s most important trade show in the sector, attended by leading experts, specialists in dental trade, the main supplier of tools and machinery and research and development. In the last edition of 2009, there were more than 100 000 visitors and 1800 exhibitors at the fair, from almost 60 countries.

In addition to the beer, at the Festhalle you will also find food, from grilled chicken to the typical Bavarian dishes, such as the legendary pork würstel of all kinds. The main Festhalle are managed by the most famous brands of beer, Augustiner, Hacker-Pschorr, Hofbräu, Löwenbräu, Paulaner and Spaten, and each can accommodate thousands of people.
