Some of the most important trade shows of the year will take place in Germany throughout March. Numismata, an unmissable event for collectors and fans of ancient coins and medals, will take place in Munich, with more than 300 international exhibitors. Hannover will host CeBit instead, one of the world’s most important exhibitions for new technologies. The tourism sector will meet in Berlin during ITB, International Travel Show. Starting from the second week of March, it’s time for Internorga at Hamburg Messe, an international event for the wealthy food & beverage and catering industries. Last but not least, the cultural event par excellence for the world of literature: publishers, authors, journalists and readers will flock as usual to Leipzig for Leipziger Buchmesse, one of Europe’s most famous book fairs ever.

We had already mentioned it, but the appointment is renewed. In the gardens of Herrenhausen in Hanover on the 10th and on the 24th of September will be held the last stages of the fireworks competition, which involves opposing national teams of Sweden, France, Spain, Austria and Mexico. On the 10th it is the Austrian national team’s turn and on the 24th it will be the Mexican’s.

That of 2011, will be the 26th edition of the Maschsee Lake Festival in Hanover, the Maschseefest. This event takes place on the banks of Lake Maschsee, in front of the centre of Hannover.

The annual fireworks competition, held in the Herrenhausen gardens of Hanover, has started in May, with the Sweden performance. On June 25, it will be up to France, then Spain on August 27, Austria on September 10 and Mexico on September 24. During the days of the competition, the Herrenhausen Gardens, in the north-east of the city, are occupied by a great festival, with any sort of stalls, shows and concerts. Tickets to watch the fireworks cost between 15 and 19 €.

Also in 2011, Hanover will arrange the great exhibition that is becoming the most important fair event in Europe. The Hannover Messe 2011 proposes, within five days, from April 4th to 8th, something like 13 fairs at the same time, each on a leader in its industry sector.

The Cebit trade show will take place in Hannover, from 1 to 5 March, 2011. Four days devoted to technological innovation, the present and future of the Internet, telecommunications and Information Communication Technology. Cebit has been for years the most important European event to learn about and understand how to move in the digital world, and to have a closer look at those technologies that in the coming years will be in our offices, our homes and especially in our pockets. CeBIT is a huge event: over 4000 exhibiting companies from seventy countries and almost 400 000 visitors expected every year.
