From November 29 to December 4, in Tübingen, Baden-Württemberg region, Germany’s the most important chocolate festival will take place, one of the most prestigious in the world. It is ChocolArt, which will see master chocolatiers from five continents, competing to achieve the best cocoa-based products: more than 200 thousand visitors of ChocolArt will be judging the artworks prepared during the festival. Africa, South and North America, Europe, Asia: about a hundred master chocolatiers will meet in Tübingen for ChocolArt, in the setting of the beautiful city of Baden-Württemberg region, Germany.
The tens of thousands of people who flock to the stalls and shops set up in the old town, can admire real works of art based on chocolate: before being products to be eaten, the works by these magicians of cocoa will amaze you for their beauty. In fact, chocolate is shaped in a thousand shapes, that only Gluttony may have the courage to destroy.
But in addition to satisfying the palate, the Festival is also an opportunity to learn about a product, that is, cocoa, which has been causing problems in the territories where it was cultivated, produced and worked. The culture of fair trade has changed life prospects of people involved in the process also in the production field of chocolate.
During the festival, the master chocolatiers will set up stands and ateliers to allow visitors to learn the techniques of processing and decoration of chocolate. Simultaneously, there will be theatrical and artistic performances, particularly dedicated to children, where chocolate is always the protagonist.
So, from November 29 to December 4, Tübingen, university town on the river Neckar, will enjoy a unique look: the houses and palaces of the town will be covered with lights, the open-air market and the shops will be decorated, also in anticipation of the upcoming Christmas. The central square will be characterized by a magic atmosphere in which great pastry chefs will perform live.
